What
is GATE Forum?
GATE Forum is an association
started by IISc and IIT graduates for helping students
prepare for GATE. GATE Forum is the first association
in India to enter the field of GATE test series at an
all India level. In the first year of operations, GATE
Forum received accolades for the quality of question
papers and the innovative ways to help students preparing
for GATE. GATE Forum offers All India Test Series for
GATE students in over 25 Test Centers all over India.
GATE Forum has over 10 offices in major cities across
India.
How can I access free tests without
paying?
GATE Forum will have a free All India
Test, the information about which will be posted on
the site. Apart from that, some tests, sectional as
well as full, may be made available at the site free
of cost. Please check out our site’s notice-board
from time to time. Go

Do I have
to pay in any form for these free online tests? There
must be some strings attached!
GATE Forum does not charge in any way for free tests,
online or otherwise. There are no strings attached.
If at any of our centers, any fees is charged for a
test that was advertised as free, please call us and
inform us at 080-41310203 immediately.
How many
tests in all do I get (once I register)?
We can assure you only about the number of tests in
our package. We will not be able to guarantee any specific
numbers in terms of online/offline/section/full tests
that are free of cost. We will endeavour to provide
our candidates with the maximum number of tests.
I registered
at the site but it is giving me error.

I am not able to enter the questions
at the Forum on the site. Do I need to register at the
forum again?
The forum is a separate section of
the site and you will need to register at the forum
by clicking on the “register” link at the
top of the page. Once you register and validate your
login, you will be able to enter messages and interact
with other students. Our old forum has some software
constraints due to which it is not able to handle heavy
traffic. We are working on it. However, if you get an
error, please try again.
Where is
the test center located in my city?
The Test Center is usually fixed at the time of conducting
the tests themselves, and are conveyed through your
admit cards. However, we would like to assure you that
the test centers will be centrally located.
Is there
any other forum also where I can register my doubts
and get results?
There are forums owned and operated by GATE Forum, such
as forum.gatementor.com. You may also use http://yahoogroups.com/groups/gateforum
to discuss it with fellow students.
Can I deposit
cash directly in GATE Forum account?
Right now, no. But we are working on it. Once we have
that facility activated, we will post it on the notice-board,
and in the Fees and Registration section.
Does GATE
Forum provide for any material apart from test series
material?
GATE Forum provides an online library for resources.
We do not provide any material apart from the Test series.
Does GATE
Forum provide any discounts?
GATE Forum provides discounts only in certain special
cases, eg exceptional performance in our All India Free
Test. Apart from that, GATE Forum may not provide any
discount this year.
Can I ask
questions in the Forum?
Sure. The forum is for you, and is
moderated by the best of the IISc graduates. Make the
best use of it.
Will it be
possible to call up the IISc/(IIT) moderators for guidance?
The moderators are usually busy and
are working. So it will not be possible to provide telephonic
guidance to our students. However, when we arrange for
conferences/ helplines at the time of admission etc.
it may be possible to facilitate interaction with the
moderators.
Or to meet them to discuss
problems?
Meeting the moderators
will not be possible under any circumstances.
