Common M. Tech. Admissions to 8 NITs

Instructions To Fill In On-line Application Form

Please read the following instruction very carefully before you fill in on-line application form:

• Use a Java enabled browser (Internet Explorer 6 or above, or Mozila Firefox).
• Type the URL http://mtech.nitt.edu on your browser to get home page of M.Tech. Admissions 2011.
• “New User” link is shown in the middle left of the home page. Click on the link to visit the register page and follow the instructions to create a new account.
• Use the given E-Mail Id & password to login.
• The fields marked with red star are mandatory, fill all such fields; otherwise, you will not be allowed to save the entered data.
• Fill in all the fields in Personal, Educational and GATE exam details.
• Click “Next Page” button to enter Mailing Address and DD details.
• Complete all other fields and press the “Save” button given at the end of the page.
• If you want to make any corrections, press the “Edit” button and do the necessary corrections.
• After making all the entries in the online application, press the “Final Submit” button.
• Please remember that you cannot change the entries once it has been submitted.
• Please check the entries before pressing the “Final Submit” button.
• Sign the hard copy (printout on A4 size paper of the page displayed on your computer screen after step 12) at Declaration of your application form and attach all the documents as listed in the check list given in the printout form.
• The filled up application form should be accompanied by registration fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.200/- for SC/ST) by means of Demand Draft drawn not earlier than 2nd May, 2011 in favour of “Chairman, CC-MT” payable at Tiruchirappalli.
• The hard copy of the online applications should reach the following address on or before 13th June, 2011
• 16. The candidates are requested to write their name and GATE registration number on the reverse side of the draft.

NOTE:

1. If the dully signed hard copy of the application form along with the original Demand draft and other documents is not received by the office     of on or before the last date, the application will be rejected.
2. OBC candidates will have to satisfy both the caste and creamy layer requirements detailed on the following National Commission for     Backward Classes (NCBC) website:
    a. http://ncbc.nic.in/backward-classes/index.html
    b. http://ncbc.nic.in/html/creamylayer.html
3. Proforma for OBC certificate along with the undertaking given in downloads section has to be submitted.
4. SC/ST candidates and Physically Disabled (PD) candidates should use the respective proforma given in downloads section.
